MatchIQ Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how the MatchIQ mobile app (Android, package name com.asyaaa.matchiq), developed and operated by ASYA-AA SRL (Dilbeek, Belgium), collects, uses and protects your personal data.

1. Data we collect

Anonymous device/user ID: Created automatically when you first open the app (Firebase Authentication, anonymous sign-in).
Email address: Only if you sign up with email.
Basic Google account information (name, email): Only if you sign in with Google.
Favorite teams and followed leagues: When you choose these preferences in the app.
Prediction records you enter: When you use the Prediction Tracking feature.
Notification token (push token) and app language: Only if you turn on live goal or lineup notifications in Settings. When you turn a notification off, sending for it stops.
Trial/subscription status: Automatically, managed through RevenueCat.
Anonymous nickname and accuracy percentage: Written to the Leaderboard automatically the first time a prediction you saved in the app is settled. The nickname is generated randomly on your device; your real name or email is never shown.
Anonymous prediction statistics (community calibration): When a prediction settles, the confidence the model gave it and whether it was correct are added to aggregate counters without being linked to your identity.

2. Data we do not collect

MatchIQ never collects or requests:

Your location
Camera or microphone access
Your contact list
Advertising tracking IDs (there are no ads in our app)
Third-party analytics or tracking SDKs

3. How we use your data

To remember your in-app preferences (favorite teams, followed leagues)
To show you your personal prediction history and accuracy
Optionally, to send you push notifications when your favorite teams score or concede, and when their lineups are announced
To track your 3-day free trial and subscription status correctly
To build the anonymous community leaderboard
To measure and improve the prediction model's accuracy based on all users' anonymous results (these counters contain no identity and cannot be linked back to a person)

We never sell your data for advertising or share it with third parties.

4. Who we share your data with

Firebase / Google Cloud (Google LLC): Provides our authentication and database infrastructure.
RevenueCat: Manages your subscription and purchase status; only your subscription status is shared, not personal identity information.
Expo (650 Industries, Inc.): Delivers live goal and lineup notifications to your device. Only your device's notification token and the notification text (match name and score) are sent to this service; your name or email is never sent.
API-Football: A third-party service that provides match, team and league data. None of your personal data is sent to this service; all requests go anonymously through our own server (Cloud Function) and only ask "which league/team".

5. Data security

Your data is protected on Google Firebase infrastructure with industry-standard encryption. Access is strictly limited by Firestore security rules; a user can only access their own data.

6. Your right to deletion

If you want us to delete your account and all related data, contact us at the address below. Your request will be processed within a reasonable time. See the Account & data deletion page for the steps.

7. Children's privacy

MatchIQ is not directed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

8. EU/GDPR rights

As a company based in Belgium, we are subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). EU residents have the right to access, rectify and erase their data, to object to processing, and to data portability.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
