PDF Editor Privacy Policy

PDF Editor is an Android app for editing PDF files, published by ASYA-AA BV ("we", "us"), the data controller. This policy explains what the app does with your data. In short: the app works entirely on your device, there is no account, no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools.

What data we process

Your files

  • The app edits PDFs entirely on your device. We do not collect personal data, location, contacts or device identifiers.
  • PDF and image files are never sent to any server. The app reads only the files you choose and the photos you take with your camera app.
  • The edited PDF is saved as a new file in the place you choose. The original file is not modified.

Text recognition (OCR)

  • Text recognition on scanned pages is done entirely on your device with Google ML Kit. Page images and the recognised text do not leave your device.
  • ML Kit may send Google technical measurements about its own operation (performance, errors, device and app type). Details: https://developers.google.com/ml-kit/android-data-disclosure

Payments

  • One save per day is free; after that, a single-save purchase or a monthly subscription is available.
  • Purchases are made through Google Play Billing. Only Google processes your payment details (https://policies.google.com/privacy). The app only learns whether a purchase is valid.
  • The daily free save counter is kept only on your device.

Saved signature

  • If you choose to save your signature, it is kept only in the app's private storage on your device. It is deleted with the "Delete saved signature" button or when you uninstall the app.

Recently opened files

  • The list of recently opened files is kept only on your device.

What we do not collect

  • No account, no advertising, no analytics or tracking tools.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect data from children.

How long we keep data and how to delete it

We keep no data on servers, so there is no account to delete. Everything stored on your device is deleted when you uninstall the app. See Account and data deletion.
